- Twenty-seven years in the accounting and financial services sectors. Was a partner, managing partner and then regional managing partner for Deloitte Southern Corridor (which included Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi)
- At Deloitte, amongst others, assisted clients with strategy development, business repositioning, venture arrangements, funding advisory, due diligence reviews, valuations, evaluating financing arrangements and project costing and evaluations, sectoral review and value-chain and supply-chain analysis and mapping.
- Was the Chief Executive of Standard Bank Namibia for 7 years (April 2014 – April 2021), amongst others successfully listed Standard Bank Namibia on the NSX, raising N$722 million.
- Was a member of the Presidential Advisory Panel on the Economy (2019 – 2020) and is currently a member of the advisory board of the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board.
- Serves on the Boards of Namibia Breweries Limited, Bank Windhoek Limited, Oryx Properties Limited, and Namibia Chamber of Commerce & Industry (“NCCI”).
- Wide experience in audit, business reviews and economic advisory and his value-chain expertise has been retained in many engagements in Namibia.
- Has been working with the Beef & Lamb industry for some time, leading assignments that has investigated, from a perspective of policy makers, exporters, farmers and farm suppliers wanting to transform the sector and create an integrated value chain from “plate to pasture” for the benefit of increased local value-addition and local value capturing.
- Founder of Ombu Capital, an investment management and advisory firm with a passion for pioneering Impact Investing and inclusive growth.
