Shiwana Ndeunyema
Shiwana serves in the role of Executive: Business Strategy at the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR).
His preoccupation is centered on positioning NAMCOR as a national energy company, in response to the global and multi-lateral energy blueprints, which will require the careful positioning of the company’s value proposition, through a series of transformative steps outlined in the company’s strategic plan.
As an economics graduate and strategy leader at the company, critical to his role is to work alongside the company’s executive management in leveraging opportunities in the petroleum sector, to fully deliver the company’s upstream and downstream mandate, whilst looking out for opportunities in the midstream sector.
Shiwana has served on various private and public enterprises boards in corporate Namibia. He currently serves on the Namibian Ports Authority (Namport) Board, the Meat Corporation of Namibia (MeatCo) Board, and Board Chairperson of Beki-Kumata Fishing (Pty) Ltd, a Namibian wholly owned Fishing Company with vested interests in the Namibian fishing industry. Shiwana previously served on the Telecom Namibia Board and as a member of the Council on the Namibian University of Science and Technology Council.
He holds a bachelor’s honors degree in Economics from the University of Namibia, a Master of Science degree in HR, with specializations in Organisational Behaviour & Performance Management from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, along with other postgraduate qualifications in Knowledge Management & Human Resources.
