Sandisiwe Ncemane is a professionally registered Engineer with over 16 years’ work experience in the Engineering, Broadcasting and Energy sector She has technical expertise, advanced project management skills and business experience Ms Ncemane obtained a BSC from the University of Cape Town and an Msc in Engineering Management from the University of Pretoria Ms Ncemane also has academic experience with the Thabo Mbeki African Leadership Institute ( which contributed to her understanding of issues concerning the African economy Involvement with the Engineering Council of South Africa ( has placed her in a favourable position of being a knowledgeable expert of the energy sector Ncemane was appointed the Acting Chief Operating Officer (COO) of PetroSA in April 2022 and subsequently the acting Group Chief Executive Office of PetroSA. She has been provided with the mandate to turnaround PetroSA and ensure that the company is on a growth path that assists in addressing the security of supply of energy in South Africa.
