Ruusa is part of the FirstRand Namibia team where she serves as the Group Economist for both FNB Namibia and RMB Namibia, a position she took up after a short tenure as the Market Research Manager at FNB Namibia. As the Group Economist, Ruusa is responsible for the Group’s macroeconomic research and modelling, which serves as a strategic input into strategy formulation, budgeting, scenario analysis, portfolio and risk management for the Group.

Ruusa holds an MCom and BCom Honours in Economics (both cum laude) from Stellenbosch University. In addition to this she also holds a certificate in Time Series Econometrics form the University of Pretoria obtained with distinction.
