Robert Mwanachilenga - Country General Manager, ReconNamibia - is a Petroleum Engineer with specialisations in Drilling and Production Engineering, Project Management, Mining, Renewable Energy; Cost Engineering.

He has about 30 years’ experience in the on and offshore oil and gas and energy sectors and has worked for companies such as: Deutsche Schachtbau und Tiefborgesellschaft; Brasoil (Petrobras); NAMCOR; Chariot Oil and Gas (Enigma); Maurel et Prom and now Reconnaissance Energy Namibia.

Of the 30 years, 20 years’ experience include university lecturing and moderation at the University of Namibia and the Namibia University of Science and Technology, five years mining exploration (mainly primary and secondary gold, rare earths, copper) and renewable energy.

His international oil and gas experience mainly covers West Africa, Brazil, USA, Southern Africa, and German.
