Martin Negonga
Martin serves as the Asset Manager within the Upstream Exploration at NAMCOR, his role entails leading the Asset Management Team to optimally manage NAMCOR’s oil and gas exploration portfolio so that return from the assets are maximized; works closely with joint venture partners to ensure that NAMCOR’s carried interests are upheld in each non-operated license. In addition, he’s also responsible for technical oversight of data management and regional studies.
Martin is a Geophysicist by profession and a holder of a Master of Science in Exploration Geophysics from Leeds University; a BSc. Hons (Geophysics) from University of Witwatersrand as well as a BSc. (Math and Physics) from the University of Namibia. In addition, he also holds a certificate in Senior Management Development from the University of Stellenbosch.
Before joining NAMCOR, Martin worked as Chief Geophysicist at Geological Survey of Namibia for 7 years, and later joined NAMCOR as a geoscientist in 2012.
He possesses a wide range of knowledge, experience, and skills in the area of Geosciences and has worked in this multi-disciplinary oil and gas industry for over 11 years.
Martin is currently serving as the Vice-Chair of the Namibia Petroleum Operators Association (NAMPOA).
