Jide Jadesimi is responsible for the international expansion of one of West Africa’s most successful businesses in the maritime, oil and gas sectors. As Executive Director of business development at LADOL - Nigeria’s only fully integrated Logistics Base and the largest mega fabrication and integration yard in West Africa – he is leading the company’s drive to create new opportunities to develop the potential of the continent’s ports and shipyards. As Executive Director of Business Development at LADOL (the Lagos Deep Offshore Logistics Base), Mr. Jadesimi is also at the forefront of the company’s plans to open a leading vocational training hub in Nigeria for the oil and gas sector in the company’s free zone in Lagos in Q1 2024.
LADOLs fabrication and integration yard is already a hub for West Africa’s maritime and oil and gas industry. The new Upskilling Academy aims to attract students from across West Africa to hone their skills, fitting in with the company’s ethos and business model of developing a sustainable and scalable hub for West Africa. As both a Harvard Business School alumnus in Leadership Development and London Business Alumnus with a Certificate in Management, Mr. Jadesimi is passionate about boosting skills and training so that young Nigerians can reach their full potential and contribute to the country’s growth, prosperity and sustainability. He has held various leadership positions at LADOL group, including Director of Property and Facilities, before taking his current position in 2014. He has managed the company’s $140 million portfolio of residential and office space since 2005.
He has a master’s degree from the European Business School and a degree in Law and French Language from the University of Sussex.
A keen sportsman and boxer, he is founder and Chairman of the Orela Sports Foundation, an organization that has supported the development of underprivileged children through sports in Nigeria’s public schools since 2012. He sits on the advisory board of the Prince’s Trust International Africa.
