Mr Zekveld has been the Country Chair of Shell Namibia since 2014, and the General Manager of Shell South Africa Upstream since 2019. Mr Zekveld is responsible for managing all aspects of the Namibian and South African exploration ventures.

Mr Zekveld started with Shell in the United Kingdom in 2000, and his career with Shell continued in the Middle East, North Africa, the Netherlands and the USA before he took up his current position.

Mr Zekveld has 22 years’ experience in the upstream sector, and holds an MSc degree in Business Administration from the Erasmus University in the Netherlands.
