Connie-Marlene Theyse
Connie-Marlene Theyse is an experienced financial and management accountant who began her professional career in auditing at Deloitte Namibia. She went on to work for prominent companies such as Unitrans Namibia, Namibia Breweries, PwC Namibia, and Eos Capital, where she held senior management roles. In these positions, she was responsible for optimising profitability and cost control while ensuring the financial control and reporting environments were robust.
She started her banking career at Standard Bank Namibia, Corporate Investment Banking, Credit. As Senior Credit Manager, she originated and evaluated complex deals for top-tier local and multinational clients in various sectors of the Namibian economy. She later served as Head of Credit for Nedbank Namibia before joining First National Bank Namibia in 2022 as Head of Enterprise Banking within the Commercial Division. In this role, she has been instrumental in growing the Enterprise Banking Segment and providing strategic guidance and leadership to the client facing teams.
Her diverse background enables her to understand and address clients’ needs effectively, having navigated the complexities of banking and corporate landscapes from multiple perspectives. Connie-Marlene’s career exemplifies technical expertise and leadership, underpinned by a strong client-centric approach.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economic and Management Sciences from Stellenbosch University, South Africa.
