Brazilian. Graduated in Electrical Engineering at Universidade Federal Fluminense in 1986. Joined the O&G sector in 1988, first at Halliburton and then moved to Schlumberger where he held various positions in Brazil and abroad, starting as field engineer to leadership positions. In 2013, moved to GE Oil & Gas as Brazil Director. In early 2017, joined bp as Senior Vice President for Brazil and later for the Angola Region. In Jan 2023, joined Galp as Head of Upstream based in Lisbon.
